Malcolm X Malcolm X, also known as Al-Hajj Malik Al-Shabazz, was an iconic figure of the Civil Rights Movement. Eventually, he became a leading advocate not only for promoting the human rights of the African-American community, but for the human rights of all. Khadija bint Khuwaylid Khadijah had been the first to publicly accept Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as the Messenger of Allah, and she had never stopped doing all she could to help him.
